Tasks I’ve Completed in the the Music Video

Planning

  • Had a full group meeting to decide the song choice and style of music video. (4 hours)
  • Visited the costume department at BRIT with to find costumes and props for the shoot. Rented out clothes.
  • Visited the location in order to help with planning shots. Took photos on a DSLR to help remember the location.
  • Traveled to Clapham Junction with Lana  to a costume shop to buy props and costumes for the shoot. We bought a top hat, a rabbit mask, clown head with red wig. 
  • Had a meeting with Lana Al Zouheiri to plan the shot list and create the storyboard for the video. 
  • Searched for actors. Found actors for the Mad Hatter role and The Queen of Hearts.
  • Planned the shot list and storyboard for a second day with Lana. Decided what actors would wear the certain clothes.
  • Created a production schedule for the actors and crew.
  • Booked equipment The BRIT School. Bought a clapper board.
  • For the actors I contacted, I helped plan the route and informed them on travel costs and routes.

Production

Filming Day One 31.03.2013

  • Brought two of the actors to the location via tram and bus.
  • Brought the DSLR camera, the clapper board and the tripod.
  • At the location, I set up the equipment with Lana.
  • Helped the actors get dressed.
  • Shot the ”Alice shots” in the music video with Lana. Shooting lasted 3 hours.

Filming Day Two 01.04.2013

  • Brought two of the actors to the location via tram and bus.
  • Broguth the DSLR camera, the clapper board abd the tripod.
  • Set up the equipment with Lana and Billy.
  • Helped the actors get dressed.
  • Shot the rest of the footage that featured all of the actors. Shooting lasted 6 hours.

Post Production

  • Uploaded the footage to the computer.
  • Organised folders to seperate sections of the video footage.
  • Edited the shots together
